Five Bronco speech team members placed in the first speech meet of the season in Imperial at Chase County on Saturday.

Brett Klima took fourth with his informative speech and Amanda Johnston was fifth with her serious prose.

Three Broncos placed sixth at the meet — Luke McCrumb in extemporaneous, Ayla Rector in entertainment speaking, and Jenna Jutten in serious prose.

The Bronco speech team will be competing again this Saturday in Wallace.
