Wauneta-Palisade students Jack McGraw, Hayden Pollmann, Wes Anderjaska, Tayler Nordhausen, Tailor Lee and Brooklyn Nordhausen have received Fall 2012 Academic All-State Awards.

McGraw, a senior, was named Six-Man Defensive Player of the year following the football season and Pollmann, a junior, was All-State second team end on offense for the undefeated Broncos.

Lee was honorable mention All-RPAC in volleyball. Lee led the team in kills en route to a 13-11 season. Brooklyn Nordhausen led the team in blocks. Both are juniors.

Anderjaska, a junior, performed as Icabod Crane in the school’s production of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” He was recognized at District and RPAC competitions as an outstanding actor.

Senior Tayler Nordhausen performed alongside Anderjaska as Kristina Van Tassel. Her district performance received outstanding actress recognition.

Since 2006 this NSAA Award Program has recognized students who meet the criteria for nomination by their school in the season of their activity. Each year the NSAA and the NCPA recognize students during Fall, Winter and Spring Seasons who are nominated by their schools for their individual academic excellence, leadership and significant contributions in their NSAA activity.
