Harchelroad Motors has moved into its new collision and restoration center on East Highway 6 in Imperial, just west of the Alco Store. Body Shop Manager Doug Reinke said the move started last Friday and they are working out of the new facility that houses the body shop, custom show room, offices and a meeting room. The collision center is certified by General Motors and Pittsburgh Paint and Glass (PPG) and will use the latest technology with eco-friendly waterborne paint.
Reinke said a few details are yet to be finished on the building, and a grand opening will be held at a later date. The body shop had been operating out of temporary quarters at East 12th and Highway 61 since a 2009 fire destroyed the body shop and dealership in downtown Imperial. Harchelroad’s, with locations in Imperial and Wauneta, is the largest GM dealership between Denver and Grand Island. (Imperial Republican Photo)
