Wauneta-Palisade graduate Emma Skelton and her teammates on the West All-Star team defeated the East All-Star team 12-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-20, 15-12 Saturday night in the Sertoma All-Star Volleyball game.

Playing at the McCook Community College Event Center, Skelton had three kills, one block and 10 digs, as well as 24 set assists.

Sam Kennedy of Sutherland was MVP on the West squad. Elwood’s Rachel Mahlberg was MVP for the East team.

Kennedy led her team with 12 kills. Perkins County’s Shania Metcalf had nine kills.

Kylie Wroot of North Platte had 15 digs. Kristen Garner of Hitchcock County and North Platte’s Anna Allberry each had two service aces.

For the East, Mahlberg had five kills, two blocks and seven digs.

Rachel Goltl of McCook led the East with eight kills.

Also from McCook, Brooklyn Trew had 12 digs and set a new game record with 58 set assists.

Preston Rieker of Eustis-Farnam also broke a record with 14 blocks.

Gothenburg’s Jacey Wiggins had three service aces.
