The Wauneta Breeze
This year’s Wauneta Harvest Festival will feature a live performance by Reggie Shaw, a Nashville recording artist originally from Overton, Neb.
Newly reopened Tommy’s Sports Club II scheduled Shaw to perform tomorrow, Friday, July 26 starting at 8 p.m. MT. Weather permitting, Shaw will perform in Tommy’s back courtyard. There is no cover charge for the event and it is open to the public.
Shaw’s stop in Wauneta is part of a summer tour through Nebraska and Kansas where he is promoting his debut album, “Living In The Fast Lane.”
In October 2012, Shaw and his debut album were featured in Billboard’s 615 Spotlight.
According to his website, Shaw discovered his love for country music at the age of 14. He was hit by a car while riding a bike, which caused severe injuries resulting in multiple surgeries.
One day, a nurse turned the television to CMT and Shaw heard Garth Brooks’ “The Dance.”
Shaw says the song showed him how to bring song to life and how it can change lives. From that point forward, country music was his new passion, according to his website.
