The Nebraska School Activities Association recently announced its fall season winners of the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association Academic All-State Awards.

Wes Anderjaska, Hayden Pollmann, Brooklyn Nordhausen, Cassidy Rathe, Nicole Strand and Lesley Towery of Wauenta-Palisade received the awards.

Pollmann and Anderjaska had also been recognized for their performance on the field. The pair were both named to the Six-Man Football Coaches Association All-State team. Pollmann was an All-State end and Anderjaska was the Defensive Player of the Year from his defensive back position.

Pollmann also earned the award for fall season in 2012 and 2011.

Anderjaska was recognized for play production in 2012 and football in 2011.

Nordhausen and Rathe were starters for the Broncos’ volleyball team.

Nordhausen was also named to the list for the fall of 2012.

Strand and Towery each had roles on the WP’s state qualifying One-Act Play Production.

While at Hitchcock County, Towery was recognized in volleyball in the fall of 2012.

Since 2006 this NSAA Award Program has recognized students who meet the criteria for nomination by their school in the season of their activity.

Each year the NSAA and the NCPA recognize students during Fall, Winter and Spring Seasons who are nominated by their schools for their individual academic excellence, leadership and significant contributions in their NSAA activity.
