North Platte Community College hosted its annual Inter-High Scholastic Competition and TECH-Knowledge & Skills Discovery Day on Wednesday, April 2 at the North and South Campuses of the college in North Platte.
The theme for Inter-High Day in North Platte this year was “Spotlight on Success.”
Students from 28 area schools took nearly 900 tests in the Inter-High Scholastic competition.
In the TECH-Knowledge and Skills competition, more than 120 students represented 21 high schools.
Awards were presented to the top three individual finishers in all categories.
They also received a certificate for up to three credit hours of free tuition to be used at MPCC this summer. First place winners were awarded with $500 Mid-Plains Community College Area scholarships. The schools also competed in divisions.
Wauneta-Palisade students Brooklyn Nordhausen, Hayden Pollmann and Christi Christner placed at the competition.
Nordhausen was third in Art. Christner was second in Grammar and Composition.
Pollmann was second in Information Technology and second in Mathmatics.
Overall, the team from Wauneta-Palisade finished first in Division 3.
