Touted as a “Little Talent Show Featuring Your Friends with a Little Talent,” Imperial Rotary Club’s Hospi-riety Show will feature some acts never seen before and possibly never seen again.

Appropriately, the show will be held on Friday the 13th. Activity starts at 5:30 p.m. when ticketholders can enjoy finger food while they browse silent auction items. The show starts at 6:30 p.m.

Items up for bid include two Husker football tickets, a remote toy tractor, a night’s stay in the Balcony House romantic retreat, an electric drill, popcorn, a mini hotbox/fridge, a study Bible, garden implements, live plants, an oil change and a Pizza Hut gift certificate—all provided by generous businesses.

The night’s entertainment will feature a variety of acts including some singing, saxophone, lip sync, “surgery on stage,” dramatic readings and even jump-roping.

Major sponsors for the event include Imperial Beef, Farm Bureau Financial Services, Pinnacle Bank, First Bank & Trust and Adams Bank & Trust with other businesses and patrons purchasing tickets for support.

BWTelcom has offered a challenge to raise money for needed surgical equipment at Chase County Community Hospital. If the Hospital Foundation raises $25,000, BWTelcom will match it. Proceeds from the Hospi-riety event tickets and silent auction will go toward this challenge to double the value of each dollar.

Imperial Rotary is part of Rotary International, a 110-year-old organization whose motto of “Service Above Self” applies to both local and international communities.

Tickets are available for a donation of $25 at Valley Bank & Trust in Wauneta and The Imperial Republican, Moreland Realty and Adams Bank & Trust in Imperial.
