Kyle Alan Borowski and Jordan Lee Bieranowski were united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church in Omaha. Father James Weeder officiated the afternoon ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mike and Ranee Borowski of Kearney and John and Janice Bieranowski of Omaha.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a soft, classic, romantic, and traditional bridal dress by Sophia Tolli.

Bridesmaids were Ashley Yates, Brenna Faust, Megan Ernst, Jackie Sundell, and Nicole deWitt, all friends of the bride. Kelsey Borowski, the groom’s sister, served as junior bridesmaid. They each wore a regal red charmeuse dress and carried fall accented flowers.

Kevin Loeffler served the groom as best man. Josh and Ryan Borowski, brothers of the groom, Max Kurkowski, friend of the groom, and Joel Bieranowski, the bride’s brother, were groomsmen. Beau Wissing, Nate deWitt, and Jason Colasacco, friends of the groom, ushered the guests. The men of the wedding party wore charcoal grey tuxedos with regal red accents to match the bridesmaids.

Grandparents of the groom, Dan and Mary Borowski of Grant, acted as gift bearers for the ceremony. Ranee Borowski and Ryan Borowski recited scripture readings.

Friends and family joined the couple for dinner and dancing at a reception at Anthony’s Steakhouse.

The bride, a 2005 Omaha Burke High School graduate, went to the University of Nebraska in Omaha (UNO) and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in December 2009. She completed her master’s degree in Health Promotion Management from Nebraska Methodist College in December 2011 and worked for Complete Nutrition in Omaha.

The groom started elementary school in Wauneta and is a Grant High School 2005 graduate. He received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from UNO in May 2009 and completed his master’s degree in Systems Engineering from George Washington University in May 2012. He has worked as a computer engineer for Lockheed Martin in Omaha until recently transferring to Boulder, Colo.

After a honeymoon in Italy, the newlyweds are making their home in Erie, Colo., where they both enjoy outdoor sports, the Denver Nuggets, and everything Colorado has to offer. Their friends say they were born to live in Colorado.

Katelyn McGraw and Benjamin Grof were reunited in marrige July 14, 2012, at the Creeks Bend Golf Course in New Prague, Minn. Rev. Kevin McGraw performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Heidi McGraw of Hamlet, Neb. The groom is the son of Mike and Beatrice Grof of LeCenter, Minn.

The bride is a junior at Northwestern College, St. Paul, Minn., where she is working towards a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

The groom is working as a mechanical engineer at Hutchinson Technologies in Hutchinson, Minn.

The newlyweds reside in Montrose, Minn.

The Chapel in the Clouds high atop the Stratosphere, was the location for the July 2, 2012, wedding of Lisa Lynn Bremer and Ryan Anthony Mintling, both of Imperial.

The beautiful sunset cere­mony under the full moon, with the lights of Las Vegas fanned out below was witnessed by the bride’s sister, Beth Bremer, and friend of the couple, Tyler Pribbeno, both of Imperial. Also included in the wedding party were several friends from Imperial who had traveled to Las Vegas with the couple.

Lisa is the daughter of Kip and Jan Bremer of Imperial and is co-owner of Brickstone Grille and Sports Bar.

Ryan is the son of RJ and Jana Mintling of Wauneta and is involved in the family business, Mintling Construction, with his father.

Welcoming the happy couple to their Imperial home are Ryan’s children, daughter Rylie and son Brandon Mintling.

A reception to celebrate Lisa and Ryan’s marriage will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at the Eagles Club, Imperial with a dance beginning at 9 p.m.

Jessica Ann Long and Benjamin James Johnson were united in marriage at Messiah Lutheran Church in Lincoln on April 28, 2012. Pastor John Kunze officiated the afternoon ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Jim and Annette Long of Wauneta and Bub and Joan Johnson of Lincoln. Grandparents of the couple include Violet Long of Wauneta, Patty Johnson of Oakland and Leroy Herscheid of Beemer.

Ivory roses decorated the altar in memory of Donnie and Ann Castens and Wendell Long, grandparents of the bride and Carroll Johnson and Theresa Herscheid, grandparents of the groom.

Matron of honor was Julie Sparrow of Oakland, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Melissa Long of Omaha, sister of the bride, Ashley Johannes of Lincoln, friend of the bride, Tamra Blake of Bassett, friend of the bride, and Heidi Johnson of Lincoln, sister of the groom. Rebecca Heilman of Bellefonte, Pa., friend of the bride, served as the bride’s personal attendant.

Best man was Curtiss Johnson of Lincoln, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Mike Palm of Lincoln, friend of the groom, Trent Campbell of Lincoln, friend of the groom, Jeremy Robinson of Lincoln, friend of the groom, and Paul Craig of Kansas City, Mo., friend of the groom. Travis Campbell of Lincoln, friend of the groom, Jon Sparrow of Oakland, brother-in-law of the bride, and Logan Pearse of Omaha, future brother-in-law of the bride, served as ushers.

Violet Sparrow of Oakland, niece of the bride, served as the flower girl and Steele Jones of Lincoln, cousin of the groom, served as the ring bearer. Candle lighters were Ellen and Nolan Magnusson of Oakland, cousins of the groom. Guestbook attendants were Wendy, Shelby, and Sierra Castens of Atwood, Kan., cousins of the bride. Megan Payne of Falls City, cousin of the groom, was the vocalist.

A reception followed at the Courtside Banquet Hall. Steve and Gayla Swisher of McCook, cousins of the bride and James and Jan O’Toole, of Glenwood, Iowa, uncle and aunt of the groom, served as Host Couples. Linda Leitner of North Platte, aunt of the bride, Roxanne Castens of Atwood, Kan., aunt of the bride and Roxie Johnson of Lincoln, aunt of the groom, served as cake table attendants.

Following the wedding the couple honeymooned in Jamaica. This fall the couple plans to move to Tempe, Ariz., where the bride will be a Customer Response Center Supervisor for State Farm Insurance and the groom will be a Fire Claim Representative for State Farm Insurance.

Celeste Nicole Pankonin and Mathew Lloyd May were united in marriage at Saint Paul United Methodist Church in downtown Lincoln on Sunday, May 27.

Rev. Stephen Griffith officiated the afternoon ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Russ and Lori Pankonin and Tim and Tammy May, all of Imperial.

Grandmothers include Elna Johnson of Imperial, Hulda Pankonin of Grant and Shirley May and Agnes Wynne, both of Scottsbluff. Roses adorned the altar in memory of the couple’s grandfathers.

Serving as the bride’s matron of honor was her sister, Brooke Lutz. Bridesmaids were Robyn Johnson, the bride’s cousin, and Kylie Seger, Emily Yaw and Ellen Reichmuth, friends of the couple. Taylor Pugh served as the bride’s personal attendant.

Taylor and Michael May served as their brother’s best men. Groomsmen were Jay Martin, Tyler Legate and Lance Thorell, friends of the couple. Kevin Thomsen and Jim Ebke, friends of the couple, and Jeff Lutz, the bride’s brother-in-law, ushered the guests.

Flower girls were Tayvin and Preslin Lutz, the bride’s nieces, and ring bearer was Tatum May, the groom’s nephew. Austin Lutz, the bride’s nephew, served as greeter and program attendant.

Guest book attendants were Blayke Johnson and Molly Brandt, cousins of the bride. Duncan Brandt, the bride’s cousin, was videographer. Matt Penland was the reader during the ceremony and the bride’s cousin, Michelle Phifer, was the soloist.

A reception followed at the Cornhusker. Bruce and Lorain Vires and Skip and Kathe Martin, special friends of the couple, served as host couples.

The bride and groom, 2007 Chase County High School graduates, are making their home in Lincoln where the bride, a 2011 University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) graduate, is attending UNL graduate school to obtain her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. The groom, a 2012 UNL Business Administration and Marketing graduate, works at Hudl, a Lincoln-based software company offering sports technology support across the U.S. and internationally.
