Miriam Marie Friesen celebrated her first birthday on Feb. 3, 2013. She is the daughter of Josh and Krystle Friesen of Wallace.
Grandparents are Wayne and Noreen Christner of Hamlet and Vern and Carol Friesen of Wallace.
A party was hosted by her big sister, Lydia, at their home. Helping her celebrate were her parents, grandparents, family and friends.

Nikita Brown turned one year old on Oct. 11, 2012. She is the daughter of Kayla Brown of Champion and Kaleb Straub of Palisade.
Her grandparents, Robert and Amy Straub of Palisade, brought ice cream and cup cakes to the home of great grandparents, Harry and Nola Straub, at Wauneta on Sunday so they could open presents and celebrate her first birthday.
Nikita enjoyed crumbling and eating the decorated cup cakes and opening her presents. |

Chaynee Saje Hunter turned one year old on Jan. 1, 2013, but celebrated while home for the holidays on Dec. 23, 2012, in the home of her great grandparents, Harold and Beverly Maris, hosted by her parents, Lincoln and Randi (Maris) Hunter of Cordell, Okla.
A ladybug cake, made by her Aunt Ashli Maris, and ice cream were served with presents to follow.
Guests were her parents, grandparents Joe and René Maris and Aunt Jonee Maris of rural Wauneta, Uncle Jayden and Aunt Ashli Maris, cousins Kobe, Braxton, Gavyn and Anna of Imperial, great grandparents Harold and Beverly Maris and Karen Christner, Jeff, Laurie, Jacob and Joel Maris, all of Wauneta, Jon Maris of Page, Ariz., and John and Marlene Lehman of Powell, Wyo.
Another party was also given in her honor on Dec. 29 with family and friends in her home |
