All but two county elected official seeking 2018 re-election

With Monday’s filing by Dwight Coleman, it assured Imperial voters will have a race with their mayor.
Coleman, the incumbent who is completing his second four-year term, will face Mason Holmes, who was the very first of all Chase County filings when he filed for the mayor’s race late last year.
The Imperial mayor is a non-partisan contest. Unless there is a third filing for mayor, both Coleman and Holmes will automatically advance to November’s General Election.
Another incumbent also filed on Monday. County Attorney Arlan Wine is seeking re-election on the Republican ticket.
With Wine’s filing, all county elected officials are seeking re-election except two, County Assessor Dotty Bartels and Don Weiss Jr.
Laurie Maris filed for re-election to the Wauneta-Palisade School Board Tuesday afternoon.
